BluePearl Pet Hospital is opening a brand-new, state-of-the-art specialty and emergency hospital in South Austin, TX , and we're looking for an exceptional Surgery Veterinary Technician to join our founding team.

Located at 2555 Western Trails Blvd., Austin, TX 78745 , our new hospital will provide advanced specialty and emergency care in a collaborative, team-focused environment designed to support both exceptional patient care and professional growth.

As a founding Surgery Technician, you'll have the opportunity to help shape the culture and workflows of a brand-new hospital featuring:

• Three fully equipped surgical suites
• Dedicated Emergency and ICU departments
• In-house CT
• Internal Medicine procedure room
• Specialty services including Surgery, Emergency, Critical Care, Internal Medicine, and Cardiology

As a Surgery Veterinary Technician, you will:

• Provide exceptional nursing care to surgical patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Assist with anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
• Place peripheral IV catheters and manage intravenous fluid therapy.
• Perform patient physical assessments and recognize abnormal findings.
• Monitor anesthesia equipment and patient vital signs throughout procedures.
• Prepare surgical suites and maintain strict sterile technique.
• Assist surgeons during procedures while anticipating patient and team needs.
• Perform medical calculations and administer medications accurately.
• Communicate with clients regarding post-operative care.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule following training.

We're Looking For Technicians Who:

• Have at least two years of veterinary hospital experience (surgical experience preferred).
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced specialty environment.
• Are confident with anesthesia monitoring and surgical nursing.
• Take pride in providing exceptional patient care.
• Value teamwork, collaboration, and continuous learning.
