Company History
BluePearl was founded by Dr. Neil Shaw, a veterinary internal medicine specialist, and his brother, Darryl, who earned an MBA from Northwestern University. As sons of a primary care veterinarian, they had long dreamed of combining their areas of expertise to open a specialty animal hospital together.
With their vision, and the help of the many strategic partners they made along the way, the Shaws’ business has expanded from a single hospital in Tampa, Florida, to more than 60 hospitals throughout the country and growing.
