Description

With roots in the local community dating back to 1933, Pieper Veterinary was originally established as a mixed animal practice by Dr. Niel Pieper, with the goal of providing the highest standard of care to both patients and clients.

Pieper Memorial Veterinary Center is a thriving specialty and emergency practice established in 2010, with specialties including Critical Care, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Exotics and Surgery. We are seeking experienced veterinary technicians to join our specialty teams; CVT, LVT, or RVT certified technicians are strongly preferred.  This is a high-volume facility and we move fast!  We are also very proud to be a VECCS Level I certified emergency & critical care facility.

Come work for a private practice with an established history with the community that will offer you the chance to use what you've learned and help you get to the next level! This family practice has grown to one of the most prominent practices in CT by promoting from within. Hard work and talent are recognized here!

Pay: Starting at $20/hr (Up to $28/hour depending on experience, skill level and certifications/licensing).  May also be eligible for additional differentials depending on the shift.

This position does require availability for weekend rotations.

Career Advancement - If you're smart, work hard and know your stuff, you can absolutely expect to be promoted. We pride ourselves on recognizing talent and promoting from within.

Honing Your Skills - You’ve learned them, so use them! Our techs regularly implement treatment plans designed by our doctors by calculating medications, placing IV catheters, performing venipuncture, capturing radiographs, with many becoming proficient central line placement, nasogastric tube placement, PIC line placement, and performing surgical pre-, intra-, and post-anesthetic care.

Find Where You Belong - Working with our board-certified specialists in neurology, oncology, surgery, radiology, and internal medicine allows our staff to find their true passion in the field.

A Commitment to Continuing Education - At Pieper Memorial, numerous in-house CE opportunities are available, as well as an annual Veterinary Technician Symposium, helping you to maintain your skills and knowledge at the highest and most current level.
