Here is What Your day May Consist of:

• Patient Care & Nursing - Provide compassionate, high-quality care for patients, including monitoring vitals, administering treatments, and assisting in recovery.
• Medical & Surgical Assistance - Assist in surgeries, anesthesia induction and monitoring, dental procedures, and emergency interventions.
• Laboratory & Diagnostics - Perform blood draws, IV catheter placement, in-house lab testing (hematology, urinalysis, cytology), and diagnostic imaging (radiographs, ultrasounds).
• Pharmacy & Medication Management - Calculate, prepare, and administer medications (oral, injectable, IV fluids) as directed by veterinarians.
• Client Communication & Education - Discuss treatment plans, provide post-care instructions, and educate pet parents on preventative care.
• Medical Record Keeping - Maintain accurate patient records, including treatments, diagnostics, and progress notes.
• Emergency & Critical Care - Recognize and respond to urgent situations, assist in CPR, and provide supportive care for hospitalized patients.
• Animal Handling & Restraint - Ensure safe, low-stress handling techniques for a variety of species.
• Technology & Equipment Use - Operate and maintain diagnostic and medical equipment, including anesthesia machines and digital radiography.
• Teamwork - Work collaboratively with veterinarians and fellow technicians to ensure the highest standard of care.

Here is What You Will Bring to the Position:

• Completion of an AVMA accredited Veterinary Technology program
• Externship or clinical experience
• Current RVT license
