We're seeking dedicated, motivated veterinary professionals with at least 1 year of animal care experience (more is preferred), but we're also willing to train the right candidate who shares our passion for high-quality patient care and hopes to grow within our overnight team.

Our facility features:

• 24/7 emergency care with experienced ER veterinarian
• Dedicated ICU and surgical suites
• In-house laboratory, digital radiography, and ultrasound
• Emergency stabilization and trauma care protocols
• Collaborative team including LVTs, veterinary assistants, and support staff

• Location: 821 E 10th St, Cookeville, TN 38501
• Position: Full-Time | Overnight Shift
• Overnight Shift Differential: Additional $2/hr starting at 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Emergency Triage & Stabilization: Rapidly assess and stabilize trauma or critically ill patients
• Critical Care Monitoring: Monitor vitals, manage pain, and provide fluid therapy
• Surgical Support: Prep patients, assist with anesthesia, monitor surgical recovery
• Diagnostics: Perform radiographs, lab work, and run in-house diagnostics
• Medication Administration: Administer IV, IM, SQ, and PO medications accurately
• Client Communication: Provide updates and instructions with empathy and clarity
• Workflow Management: Prioritize patients and document accurately in EMRs
• Team Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with ER veterinarians and overnight staff

Qualifications

Preferred Experience:

• 1+ years working in a veterinary hospital, kennel, animal shelter, or emergency clinic
• Overnight or emergency experience is a plus

Certifications:

• LVT, RVT, or CVT preferred (but not required)
• We welcome Veterinary Assistants with strong clinical skills and a desire to grow

Technical Skills:

• Confident in venipuncture, catheter placement, surgical prep
• Basic knowledge of anesthesia monitoring, CPR, fluid calculations

Soft Skills:

• Clear communication (verbal & written)
• Calm under pressure and emotionally resilient
• Detail-oriented, dependable, and a team player
