Emergency Veterinarian – Grow Your Surgical Skills in a Busy, Collaborative, Academic-Affiliated Hospital
Tufts VETS (Veterinary Emergency Treatment & Specialties), a Level I VECCS-certified facility located in Walpole, Massachusetts, is actively seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver both emergency medical and surgical care for a diverse small animal caseload in a thriving 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital.
We’re especially interested in ER doctors who have strong surgical interests and have advanced surgical training. You’ll work in a high-volume, high acuity setting with strong mentorship and infrastructure to support continued professional growth.

ECC service includes 4 Criticalists, 6 ER doctors, and 5 Urgent Care doctors
Support from a rotating intern class (5 interns) and one ECC specialty intern
Modern, 25,000-square-foot hospital with recent renovations
2 large surgery suites (3rd on the way), advanced ICU, digital radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, echocardiography suite
Mechanical ventilator, telemetry, high-flow oxygen, endoscopy, in-house blood bank, and a full Heska lab
Access to Tufts University’s diagnostic lab, library consortium, IT support, and additional resources

Who We’re Looking For:
DVM or equivalent with internship training or commensurate ER experience
Strong interest in emergency surgery and the drive to continue growing
